This exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on a permanent basis with the focus of the post on supporting neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention and working across ND pathway.

The post holder will work as a core part of the city ND team to contribute to the multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions and impact. It is suitable for an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or Nurse. You will be an integrated part of the team and you will have opportunity to contribute to neurodevelopmental assessment, post diagnostic intervention and providing support and consultancy across the wider children’s services as well as delivering and demonstrating uni-professional added value.

The post holder will be required to link with both Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Specialist Community Paediatrics Teams as well as Education. You are required to be HCPC/NMC registered (or relevant professional body), have relevant experience in neurodevelopment assessment, diagnosis and support strategies.

You should be confident in the uni-professional value add for these young people and their families and be able to evidence transferrable skills to CYP with neurodevelopmental impact. We are looking for someone who is organised, motivated and is looking to be part of a developing service. You must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills when working with children, young people and their families. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent team working and communication skills. Training and support for your professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision, both uni-professional as well as part of multi-disciplinary team to support reflection, and evidence-based practice. It will be an advantage to have experience of assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences. A secondment will be considered if your current manager is able to support this.
