Please be aware this is a night shift role
Role Summary:
To ensure packaging is correctly labelled and readily available in the designated locations for production and in the print room. Unloading/loading packaging deliveries and ensuring paperwork is accurate and locations match.
Where applicable to ensure that the flat pack boxes are erected in line with the production plan, for all products that are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move packaging around the site using appropriate MHE equipment and ensure all pallet movements are scanned in and out of location.
- Receive packaging deliveries and complete all associated paperwork (day shift only).
- Report packaging discrepancies, quality issues, and potential shortages to the Packaging Manager.
- Control data entry, correct input parameters, and verification of labels.
- Communicate issues related to the product database to relevant stakeholders.
- Print, produce, and issue labels in accordance with up-to-date specifications and technical standards.
- Maintain clear administrative records for the printing, traceability, and issuing of labels.
- Ensure printers and scanners are always maintained and available.
- Continuously look for ways to improve business processes in the packaging issue area and report them to the Packaging Manager.
- Issue correct packaging per job requirements.
- Record all packaging movements in and out of the issue area.
- Ensure all packaging is covered and has traceability labels.
- Count and check packaging stocks as required.
- Maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and contamination practices and standards in your work area.
- Adhere to all relevant customer, industry, and legislative standards (e.g., BRC, HACCP, TPPS).
- Communicate effectively with production and report any non-conformances to a Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with Prophet ERP system (preferable).
- Reach truck/ counterbalance operation experience.
- Knowledge of packaging and fresh produce.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£30,400.00 per year
