About the Role
Are you passionate in making a difference to the people in North Lincolnshire. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Moving with Dignity Lead to join our dynamic Adults and Heath team. Working in conjunction with the Principal Occupational Therapist, oversee, arrange and at times deliver specialist training to all in house regulated care staff within North Lincolnshire Council. You will also assess key trainers and risk assessors to deliver safe practice and oversee staff competencies along with prescribing appropriate equipment provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults to live independently, and be safe, well, prosperous and connected with their own communities.
You will play a key role in working collaboratively with external providers to train and improve standards of manual handling and single-handed care. Your work will directly contribute to improving quality of life and promoting a strength-based, person-centred approach.
Application requirements
Level 4 qualification in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with a willingness to successfully complete an appropriate qualification. Train the trainer qualification or the willingness to complete this within the first six months of the job.
- To have in depth moving and handling experience.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to promoting independence, inclusion, and dignity for people of North Lincolnshire.
- Full car driving licence.
