Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern. You will be required to work both day and night shift.

Service is at the heart of the team at 2Agriculture where over 350 employees work across six sites. Our feed mills operate to the highest standards set for product quality, with a specialist production team monitoring output ensuring zero or minimal mill downtime. Our fleet operate 24/7 ensuring feed arrives on time and in full, with a real focus on biosecurity prior to delivery, on site and during departure.
Role Profile
The role of the Mill Operative is to carry out the efficient operation of all aspects of the feed mill production, ensuring all relevant Health & Safety and quality control procedures relating to the production of compound animal feed are adhered to in order to deliver business objectives.
Day to day you will be carrying out the production of poultry feed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures in order to maximise throughput, feed quality and delivery of KPI’s. This involves operating heavy duty machinery, ensuring compliance with quality control and Health and Safety procedures at all times. You will also be required to conduct daily stock takes and complete statutory records and production sheets, proactively seeking solutions where abnormalities occur to prevent a negative impact on production and quality standards.
Where possible you will conduct basic level routine maintenance and communicate with the Engineering department to address breakdowns or interruptions to production to minimise downtime. You will be required to consistently liaise with other operational areas to ensure the efficient flow of information so that all internal and external customer requirements are met.
Essential Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, the desired candidate should have strong experience within a team-based manufacturing or production environment, working proactively with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPI’s. You should have a minimum of Standard Grade level 3 or equivalent National Grade in Maths and English. A qualification or apprenticeship in a relevant field is preferred.
We are looking for someone that works effectively as part of a team and collaboratively with other operational areas, establishing good relationships, in order to meet increasing productivity and quality targets. You should be able to take ownership of work, demonstrating a logical ability to decide on the most appropriate course of action whilst working under minimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment.
