We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team at St Andrew's Primary School, Yetminster. This vital role involves supervising children during their lunchtime break, both in the dining hall and in the playground, ensuring a safe, happy, and inclusive environment for all.

Actual Salary £4,061.00 per annum (Grade 1, SCP 2

This job is Term Time Only for 7.5 hours per week and 38.4 weeks per year (term time plus 4 inset days)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising children during lunch and playtime

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and good table manners

  • Supporting children with any lunchtime needs

  • Helping to set up and tidy away dining equipment

  • Promoting safe and active play

SAST will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. Safeguarding responsibilities associated with this role may include engagement in regulatory activity, such as administering first aid or supporting an upset child. It will have contact with young people on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will have to meet the person specification, and the post is subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and Children’s Barred List check. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
