This is an exciting opportunity to join the Urgent and Emergency Care team at County Hospital and work as part of the newly established Frailty Assessment Unit team as a Medical Support Secretary.
As a Medical Support Secretary for Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) at County hospital you will provide administrative support to the multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on the new Frailty Assessment Unit (FAU). This role includes maintaining records, assisting with complaints and queries and support with telephone calls to the departments. Communicating efficiently with patients, relatives, GPs and other services. This role is primarily computer based and includes managing waiting lists, booking appointments and typing letters.
- Booking outpatient appointments
- Managing outstanding discharge letters and ensuring completion
- Assisting with complaints and queries to the department
- Covering the ward clerk role when required
- Additional duties such as fire warden and manual handler training
