Job Title: Medical Secretary

Location: Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Hours: 22.5 hours between Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Trust Location: Wythenshawe Hospital

What you’ll be responsible for:

Responsible for providing day to day secretarial and administrative services employing advanced typing skills with the use of medical terminology. The post-holder will be required to follow policies and procedures and communicate effectively as appropriate.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively always complete your role to the highest standard

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

Excellent communication skills

Proficient user of all MS Packages & HIVE

Previous experience in a similar role using medical terminology

Organisation Skills

Proof Reading skills/experience
