We are looking for a motivated Medical Device Assembler to join our growing team and contribute to the development, testing and optimisation of our medical devices.
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-focused Medical Device Assembler to support the production and assembly of our regulated medical devices. This role is primarily focused on physical assembly, inventory handling, and packaging within a clean, process-driven environment. You will play an integral part in maintaining manufacturing flow and ensuring the timely availability of devices for clinical trials.
Responsibilities
Device Assembly & Packaging
- Assemble medical devices and subassemblies in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform basic visual checks and testing for defects during assembly.
- Support device labelling and secure packaging for dispatch, ensuring regulatory traceability.
Inventory & Stock Handling
- Assist with goods-in checks (visual condition and paperwork verification ).
- Accurately record and handle components using inventory systems (e.g. ERPAG, Xero).
- Organise stock in line with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles and ensure all materials are traceable.
- Maintain a clean and logical storage environment.
Operational Support
- Support basic operation of auxiliary production equipment (e.g. 3D printers) where trained and authorised.
- Track calibration schedules.
- Maintain storage and workspace organisation to meet cleanroom or controlled-area standards.
Quality System Contribution
- Complete required documentation associated with assembly and inventory tasks.
- Maintain accurate batch records and logs to support ISO 13485 compliance.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- High level of attention to detail and organisation.
- Comfort working with SOPs and traceability requirements.
- Good manual dexterity and an ability to work with small components.
- Prior exposure to ERP or stock tracking systems (ERPAG, Xero) preferred
- Experience in an assembly or warehouse support role, ideally within a regulated or high-quality environment preferred but not essential
