Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
Location: Harlow, Essex
Type: Full time but will consider part time (hours negotiable)
Are you that person who screenshots memes, shares trends before they go viral, and already knows what’s going to be hot next week? Do you have a camera roll full of ‘content ideas’ and a brain buzzing with creative energy? Great. Keep reading.
From building jaw-dropping exhibition stands to transforming retail spaces, KGK Genix bring big ideas to life for brands that don’t do boring. Now we’re on the lookout for a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator who doesn’t just scroll TikTok and Insta - you dissect them. You understand audiences, you know your platform formats, and you know when it’s time to ride a trend... or rein it in and get real.
This isn’t a job for someone who needs to be told what to post. We want a self-starter, a creative thinker, a do-er, and someone who can translate trends into B2C gold, but also comfortably talk about lead times, materials, and why our process makes a difference.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Owning our social presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and beyond
- Spotting trends and cultural moments in real time - and knowing which ones actually matter to our audience
- Developing and managing a monthly social calendar with both creative and commercial objectives
- Filming, editing and posting short-form video content (you’ll need to be confident in front of and behind the camera)
- Working with internal teams (yes, even the warehouse crew) to generate fun, real, people-led content
- Writing with voice and purpose - adapting tone depending on whether we're talking to event organisers, retail buyers, or end consumers
- Supporting with email campaigns, website content, and wider marketing plans when needed
You’ll Need:
- A deep love for all things social, and a solid understanding of how to use different platforms to reach different audiences
- Confidence in creating short-form video content using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or even just your phone
- A strong understanding of B2C marketing, with an appreciation for tone of voice, user journeys and brand loyalty
- The confidence to pitch ideas, experiment, and ask for forgiveness rather than permission
- Creativity by the bucketload - and the organisation to match
- Experience in a similar role or a killer portfolio that shows you’ve got what it takes
Bonus Points For:
- A background in design, events, exhibitions or production (and print!)
- Basic design skills in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar
- Knowing how to turn a behind-the-scenes clip into a high-performing reel
Why Work With Us:
You’ll be joining a business that’s hands-on, passionate and up for anything. No two days are the same — and we mean that. One day you’ll be filming a retail install, the next you’ll be riding shotgun on a truck to a live exhibition build. You’ll have room to test ideas, grow your skill set and shape how we show up in the world.
This role reports into the Marketing Director who you will learn from and have full support with all things creativity and Marketing. The team is looking to grow. So if you have an ambitious mindset this is the role for you.
