We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Manufacturing Working Team Leader. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
This role is designed for someone who can balance operational responsibilities with people leadership. You’ll spend approximately 50% of your time working alongside the team, delivering, problem-solving, and ensuring daily tasks are met. The other 50% will focus on leading the team, providing guidance, coaching, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement.
Location: Accrofab Alcester Limited B49 6EH
Shift Pattern: 39 hours per week working the Late Shift; 16.30 to 02.30 Monday to Wednesday and 16.30 to 01.30 Thursdays with designated.
Role Accountabilities:
- Lead and support the team to deliver the planned workload in a timely and productive manner and take accountability for delivering the objectives specifically assigned to the area of responsibility
- Monitoring effective shift hand-overs, daily start-of-shift briefings
- Practicing Daily Walk the Floor routines to report on daily KPI’s: This includes, but is not limited to:
- Effective Compliance to EHS – Hazard observation reporting and actioning.
- Identify contain and correct Quality issues;
- Identifying actual or potential problems variations to the plan.
- Practise Walk The Floor 2 and report and action issues found
- Support a Continuous Improvement plan for their areas of report and engaging the team with this.
- Develop employees to ensure they are trained to carry out the job(s) assigned to them, and to positively contribute to the performance and agreed standards of the area and in line with the operational requirements.
- Build a Personal Development Plan to improve their own personal performance and effectiveness in this role.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
- Proven experience in a hands-on operational role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- Comfortable balancing frontline duties with leadership responsibilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
