Maintenance Handyman
Location: Leeds Bradford Airport
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00 (flexibility required)
Reporting to: Senior Maintenance Engineer

As we continue to grow and welcome more passengers every year, we’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance Handyman to join our Facilities & Engineering team and help keep our terminal and buildings safe, smart and fully operational.

<hr data-start="948" data-end="951">What You’ll Be Doing
Carrying out routine and reactive maintenance across our terminal and outlying buildings.
Performing general repairs: basic plumbing, joinery, painting, plastering, floor and tiling fixes, ceiling tile replacements, and more.
Supporting with minor electrical tasks like changing light bulbs, replacing sockets and switches (where trained).
Helping with seasonal operations – from gritting and snow clearing to responding to leaks or weather damage.
Supporting refurbishments and small project work with the wider engineering team.
Keeping areas tidy, safe, and well-maintained – always putting safety first.
Logging work tasks, monitoring supplies, and communicating with contractors when needed.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role, ideally in a commercial or public setting.
Solid skills across general maintenance disciplines – plumbing, decorating, DIY, basic electrics.
Confidence with hand tools, small power tools, and working safely at height.
A proactive mindset – someone who can spot a problem and fix it fast.
Friendly, reliable and able to work on your own or with a team.
Good communication and basic computer skills for logging jobs and reports.
Physically fit to manage a manual, active workload.

Provide a full 5-year checkable work history.
Pass a basic criminal record check.
Complete General Security and Awareness Training (we’ll provide this).
