Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Floor Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations by assisting with various tasks related to production, assembly, and quality control. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
Responsibilities
The machine shop assistant will be responsible for the ease of movement of goods and equipment through the production facility and assist the manufacturing team with various tasks and duties. These include;
- Loading and un-loading of delivery vehicles
- Movement of raw materials and stock around the premises
- Checking and packing of finished goods ready for export
- Inspection & checking of Marine Propellers
- Maintain the safe working environment and cleanliness of the factory floor
- Handling of stock parts
- Assist in helping with moving large materials and objects
- Assist in preparation of finished goods for painting, assembly and despatch
The ideal candidate would also have the opportunity to be trained to use some of the machinery in the factory in order to be able to support the other members of the manufacturing team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
