Port Operative – Port of Mistley
Full time – hourly paid commensurate with experience.
T W Logistics Ltd is a leading independent company which provides logistics and processing services for industrial raw materials. With a head office based in Lincolnshire, the Port of Mistley primarily handles cargoes by ship and HGV (incl. containerised goods).
We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic person. Essential attributes being the ability to work pro-actively & as part of a team - the position’s main duties and responsibilities being:
Stevedoring and cargo operations: handling of bulk and breakbulk cargoes within ships’ holds, quayside and warehousing.
Driving of forklifts within ships’ holds, quayside and warehousing.
Driving of shovels and other heavy plant as necessary.
Preparation of cargoes prior to redelivery
Close co-operation with TWL operational and administrative staff.
The successful candidate shall have a willingness to learn the following:
Operating the port weighbridge.
Road tanker loading.
A current driving licence shall also be required.
When necessary the candidate will be required to work at TWL’s Wrabness Storage Depot.
