Key Responsibilities: Assess loft areas to determine insulation needs and identify any access or ventilation issues. Prepare the loft space by clearing obstructions and ensuring safe working conditions. Install loft insulation materials (e.g., mineral wool, blown-in insulation) to specified depth and standards. Ensure correct placement of insulation around joists, pipes, electrical cables, and other structural features. Maintain existing ventilation pathways to prevent damp or condensation buildup post-installation. Seal gaps and draughts where necessary to improve overall insulation effectiveness. Cut and fit insulation materials accurately using hand tools and safety equipment. Safely handle, transport, and store insulation materials. Follow all health and safety regulations specific to working in loft environments (e.g., working at height, confined spaces). Record installation details and report any issues or variations from the original plan.
