NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is 22.2 hours per week (Wednesday & Thursday 08:30 - 16:30 and Friday 08:30 - 16:12)

Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.

As part of the wider library team, this post assists in the provision of a comprehensive enquiry service. This post provides on-site day-to-day routine tasks that underpin the provision of a library service including providing technical assistance and training to users, answering a range of enquiries and managing the library issue desk. The postholder liaises with colleagues across the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Library Network, staff in other departments, and with library users. Good customer care skills, flexibility and time management are essential, as is an ability to work unsupervised. The postholder deputises for the Assistant Librarian. This post will be based on site at Inverclyde Royal Hospital Library, Greenock. The preferred hours will be over Wednesday – Friday.
