To complete a range of maintenance and cleansing activities required to ensure Cheshire East is a clean, safe, attractive place to live with well-maintained streets and public spaces. Activities will predominately include the mechanical sweeping of highway roads with a truck mounted sweeper and all associated tasks relating to operating this type of vehicle and will also comprise of general street cleansing duties.

We are looking for somebody who will be committed to providing an effective frontline service to the residents of Cheshire East in a courteous and professional manner. The role of LGV Mechanical Sweeper Driver is required to complete a range of cleansing activities to ensure Cheshire East is a clean, safe, attractive place to live with well maintained streets and public spaces. Activities will include the cleansing of highway roads, car parks and general street cleansing duties.
We are looking for people with knowledge of Cheshire East and previous experience of operating truck mounted sweepers is desirable. The need to work in a safe manner is paramount and therefore an understanding of relevant safe working practices i.e. Working on the highway is essential. Our drivers are expected to interact and communicate effectively with members of the public to portray a professional image of the council and deliver a quality service.
Applicants must have a current valid driver's licence minimum Category C to enable you to drive a large vehicle over 7.5 tonnes, along with current CPC.
