Position: Lettings Intern
Reporting to: Nicole Bernhardt (Director, Lettings)
Location: tlc Estate Agents, 13 Crescent Place, SW3 5EA
Term: 6+ week internship
Working Pattern: 3-5 full days per week

Purpose of the Position

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Lettings Department. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the property lettings industry, learn from our experienced team, and contribute to the daily operations of our department.

Key Responsibilities

Based on the tasks of a Lettings Consultant and the type of business we are, we expect the intern to:

  • Attend Team Meetings: Participate in daily team meetings to discuss offers, information, and ongoing tasks.
  • Applicant Registration: Assist in qualifying and registering applicant enquiries each morning.
  • Property Viewings: Accompany team members on property viewings to understand how to present properties effectively. Assist in preparing properties for viewings.
  • Customer Service: Welcome and assist members of the public visiting the office. Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Database Management: Help maintain and update the database of current applicants. Call through the database to generate interest in properties.
  • Diary Management: Assist in managing the team’s diaries, ensuring appointments and viewings are scheduled efficiently.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring all compliance needs are met. Help with the documentation required for letting properties.
  • Marketing Support: Support the marketing team in creating and distributing promotional materials for properties. Assist in managing social media accounts and creating content to attract potential tenants.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing documents. Assist with the preparation and distribution of tenancy agreements and other legal documents.
  • Learning and Development: Actively seek to learn about the lettings process and property market. Attend any relevant training sessions offered by tlc London.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide flexible assistance across departments as needed, including helping with errands, organising office supplies, updating window displays, cutting keys, and checking properties for cleanliness, presentation, and readiness for viewings or move-ins. Support events and other tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the office.
