We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary/ Legal Assistant to join our growing team in our Cornwall Office and support our Director Lucy Theobald. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a secretary and will be responsible for providing an excellent first impression to our clients as well as providing administrative support including answering the telephone, audio typing, drafting and proofreading documents, scheduling meetings and appointments, and maintaining filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent organisational skills, first-rate customer service skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal and secretarial support to our Legal team in our Truro office
- Organise and maintain legal documents and records.
- Type up documents such as letters, statements and briefs.
- Prepare bundles for court
- Schedule appointments and meetings with clients.
- Answer phones and provide general information to callers.
- Preparing legal documents such as applications if necessary with supervision
