About The Role
The role involves delivering a comprehensive range of professional services in teaching, learning, assessment, and student support. The post-holder will programme manage and teach on a variety of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses, including full-time programmes for 16–18-year-olds and part-time courses for adult learners. Responsibilities include the planning and delivery of high-quality teaching and assessment across all programmes, as well as providing pastoral care and supporting the development of students’ employability and broader social skills. The role requires close collaboration with a dynamic team of lecturers and coordinators to foster a creative, engaging, and forward-thinking approach to English provision.
About You
You are a qualified and experienced ESOL teacher with a PGCE, DTLLS, or equivalent—or are working towards one. You hold a TEFL, CELTA, or TESOL qualification and have taught adult learners from pre-entry to Level 2. You have a strong track record of meeting achievement and attendance targets in FE and are confident in assessment and internal verification. Committed to student success, you support the development of employability and wider social skills alongside academic progress.
