Gardener Enthusiast - Church Volunteer
We are looking for a group of people who would like to beautify the Church Garden, Grave Yard and Memorial grounds, Fenny and Bletchley Council help maintain the landscape and we have a gardener who comes once per month. We would love to have a or some volunteers who would like to improve the appearance of the Church grounds, our Church is over 300 years old and attracts tourists due to it's location on proximity to Bletchley Park.
The Parish Church of St Martin's, located in Fenny Stratford, Bletchley, is a welcoming community hub that fosters spiritual growth, connection, and service. Our mission is to nurture not only the spiritual needs of our parishioners but also the beauty of our church grounds. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help maintain and enhance the church gardens.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in planting, weeding, and maintaining various plants and flowers in the church garden.
- Help preserve the cleanliness and aesthetics of the outdoor spaces.
- Participate in seasonal gardening activities and projects as needed.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and church members to foster community engagement.
- Report any maintenance needs or concerns regarding garden equipment or associated areas.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Passion for gardening and experience with plant care is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the upkeep of the garden.
- Good communication skills to interact with fellow volunteers and church members.
- Willingness to commit time regularly and participate in church events related to gardening activities.
