Job Summary

The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help with the organisation of food storage areas, ensuring that all items are labelled and stored correctly.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a tidy work environment to promote efficiency within the kitchen team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary work is key.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced kitchen staff.
