Tree Top Cafe, Vogrie Country Park, EH23 4NU
We are looking for new team members to join our already formed team within the Tree Top Cafe. This role is primarily for a kitchen assistant / cook. You must have previous experience working in busy kitchens. The cafe serves a range of homemade soups, fillings, sandwiches, salads, toasted sandwiches & jacket potatoes along with a range of fried food. You will also be required to work on the front counter serving customers & preparing hot drinks.
We strive to exceed all customers expectations and ensure the visitor experience is of a 5* level at all times.
The cafe is a busy visitor location site where it is important to be a team player as well as being able to self motivate to ensure all duties are carried out correctly. The kitchen position also requires you to do dishes, help the team front of house when required serving on the front counter, clearing tables and serving food etc. We work as a team at all times to make sure the cafe runs smoothly.
Training will be provided, all training is undertaken by management.
This position is preferable for full time positions though part time can be considered also. Good renumeration and staff benefits, flexible on rotas. Immediate start preferable.
Please do not apply for this position if you do not have cooking experience, please note we are not looking for a chef. This is a busy CAFE where well cooked simple food is executed.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Cooking experience or in a similar culinary role within a catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient in meal preparation techniques, with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
