Charlotte House is a beautiful care home located in Bebington, The Wirral. Acquired by Lovett Care Group in 2020, Charlotte House offers Residential, Respite, Dementia, Nursing, Palliative, and Day Care for adults in bright, comfortable surroundings. At Charlotte House, you’ll discover beautifully furnished ensuite bedrooms and state-of-the-art shared spaces to encourage a vibrant, social atmosphere. Day-to-day life includes a schedule of engaging activities formed in collaboration with residents, a daily menu of restaurant-style meals prepared by our on-site chefs, and a whole lot of community spirit and laughter.


We are seeking to appoint a kind, organised and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. To assist with the preparation of meals for residents and external visitors. We have a 20 hour contract available with an hourly rate of £12.60! Shift times are 0830-1930, with alternate weekend working.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and cooking for daily menus as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure compliance at all times of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH and HACCP requirements and legislation.
  • Follow instructions from Head Chef and Chef.
  • Undertake pot washing duties on a daily basis.


Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience of working in food services is desirable.
  • Experience of working within a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other team members is essential.
  • A willingness to learn is essential.
  • No formal qualifications are required as we provide training & development in relation to this role.
