Job Description:
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You’ll play a key role in preparing our signature boards and small plates, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, and supporting front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and plating of cheese and charcuterie boards, tapas, and small dishes
- Portion and assemble ingredients according to set menus and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment at all times
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Support with dishwashing and general kitchen duties as needed
- Help with restocking and prep ahead of service
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and timely service
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food prep environment (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Passion for great food and an appreciation for artisan ingredients
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £11.44-£11.45 per hour
