The Joiner will be responsible for fabricating and installing wooden structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. You will also be managing staff and jobs
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
- Utilise power tools effectively and safely for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation of joinery products.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including masons and electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Assist in roofing, plumbing, and painting tasks as required by project specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential.
- Proficiency in using power tools and machinery related to the trade.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques is an advantage.
- Familiarity with electrical work related to joinery projects is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
