Hamleys is looking for an experienced IT Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support and administration of IT systems. This includes Microsoft Dynamics 365, Store Commerce POS applications, and Microsoft Intune, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable IT operations. The role involves working closely with parent company’s central teams to implement and maintain policies and procedures in alignment with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems
- Provide first- and second-line technical support to users across the organisation
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently
- Administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems, managing user accounts, security roles, workflows, and system configurations
- Manage and maintain Store Commerce POS applications, including installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous retail operations
- Oversee Microsoft Intune administration, including device management, application deployment, and compliance policies
- Configure and manage conditional access policies to secure corporate data and control user access based on device and user compliance
- Collaborate closely with central IT and security teams to align and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and security audits to maintain system integrity
- Assist in deploying new IT systems and applications as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, system configurations, and user manuals
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and manage software licensing to ensure compliance
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT services
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven experience in IT technical support or system administration roles
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 system administration
- Experience managing Store Commerce POS applications in a live retail environment
- Expert in Microsoft Intune administration, including device management and conditional access policies
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and networking fundamentals
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across software, hardware, and network
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working with users at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and ability to document IT systems clearly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+, or Network+ are desirable
- Formal education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Diploma, Degree, or equivalent) is preferred
Job Requirements:
- Occasional travel to other sites/stores
- Some physical handling of IT equipment
- Out-of-hours/weekend support on site during peak trading or on-call work to support critical systems
