Please note that this vacancy is only open to University of Worcester students
We are looking to recruit students with a passion for technology to be part of a team ensuring that we deliver value to our customers through outstanding service. You will provide IT assistance and support to students and staff at our walk-up support desk in the Peirson Study and Guidance Centre. You will also maintain our loan laptops and perform pre-maintenance checks across audio visual technology in learning spaces.
Working whilst studying is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. The successful applicants will work closely with a team of other student IT support assistants and the IT Support team to deliver professional IT services to the students, staff, delegates and visitors of the University.
The post holder will be required to take part in a scheduled rota to provide service support during the University’s core support hours (07:00 until 19:00, 7 days a week) and must have a flexible approach to covering absence at short notice. IT Student Support Assistants generally work between 4 – 8 hours for the walk-up support desk and 2 hours for pre-maintenance checks.
The successful applicants will be required to work across all University sites, which are typically within 2 miles of Worcester city centre and will be required to travel between sites on a regular basis and must be a current University of Worcester student.
