**The Role
The purpose of this role is to lead the IT infrastructure operations & projects (DevOps) for EOUK by managing the infrastructure support & enhancement Services across the company locations.
** Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute a 3–5-year strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure operations in alignment with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead infrastructure projects, including managed services for both on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with IT leadership to identify optimisation opportunities and resource strategies.
- Drive change management, risk control, and adherence to ITIL best practices across infrastructure operations.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure services, systems, and networks.
- Govern and support IT operational change processes with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships to maintain high service levels and business continuity.
- Oversee the smooth transition of projects into stable, scalable operations.
- Monitor and optimise IT usage, licensing, and regulatory compliance, including GDPR and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Manage IT operational expenditure, delivering on budget and cost-efficiency targets.
- Lead the response to IT-related emergencies and ensure asset integrity
- Lead audit readiness, compliance reporting, and IT KPI monitoring.
**About You
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) with certifications in at least two of: ITIL, CCNA, Cloud Architecture, Virtualisation (VMWare), Nutanix, Cisco.
- Extensive background in IT Infrastructure Management within large-scale manufacturing organisations (Energy, Manufacturing, or Oil & Gas), including high-availability cloud and on‑premise environments and enterprise licensing.
- Expertise in network management, cloud hosting (Azure, AWS), in‑house data centres, and designing secure IT & OT networks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Office 365, Active Directory, Defender / Sentinel) and cloud computing (Cloud Architect certification desirable).
- Experience architecting infrastructure for ERPs, SaaS, and custom applications, with exposure to Process Control Networks (OT) highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of data security, access governance, and policy development, with a proactive approach to risk remediation.
- Skilled in leading teams, managing vendors, and delivering innovative IT solutions to optimise asset use.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to critical incidents.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of explaining complex IT concepts clearly and building strong cross-functional relationships.
