We’re looking for an experienced and professional inspection driver to join our team, someone with a good eye for detail and a solid understanding of cars. This is a key role in our business as the inspection reports you complete directly shape our buying decisions.
What a typical day looks like
- The buying team will be in touch to check your availability, usually with 1–3 days’ notice.
- On the day, you’ll head out to the seller’s location (normally within a 200-mile radius).
- Carry out a full inspection and short test drive, making sure everything is checked properly.
- If you find anything that wasn’t declared, you’ll negotiate with the seller to adjust the deal fairly.
- Load the car safely onto a 3.5t truck and bring it back to site.
What we’re looking for
- Someone with mechanical know-how who can spot issues quickly with a minimum of 3 year experience in a related job position (Incident and repair inspector, mechanic etc )
- Confidence in dealing with trade sellers and private individuals, including negotiating on price.
- Comfortable with unsociable hours and weekend work (though we’ll always try to be flexible around you).
- Experience driving and loading/unloading a 3.5t truck.
- Professional and presentable, with strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships.
- Methodical, detail-driven, and reliable — inspections are critical to how we operate.
What’s in it for you
- A strong pay package with good earning potential on each collection.
- Varied work — every day is different.
- Flexibility where possible around your schedule.
- The chance to be a key part of a growing business, where your input really makes a difference.
