The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HSEQ Advisor to support our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards across all port sites (Hull, Goole, Grimsby & Flixborough). This is a key role that helps ensure legal compliance, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a safe and sustainable working environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s HSEQ Management System across all sites.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and followed through.
- Provide HSEQ advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and operatives.
- Assist in incident investigations and ensure accurate reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Promote a positive safety culture through training, toolbox talks, briefings, and day-to-day engagement.
- Maintain HSEQ documentation and support accreditation processes
- Monitor environmental impacts and support sustainability initiatives across the business.
What We’re Looking For
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – Essential
- Knowledge of ISO Management Systems – Desirable
- Experience in a logistics, ports, marine, or industrial setting – Preferred
- Excellent communication, organisation and influencing skills
- Practical understanding of UK H&S legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to travel between sites as needed (a valid UK driving licence is essential)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
