Bembridge House is looking for an energetic, vibrant individual to join our team as a Housekeeper to maintain the high standards of cleanliness within the home.
Located in the Park North area of Swindon, at Bembridge House we support eight adults (some with complex needs) with their day to day lives, including a variety of activities, from shopping, going to cinema, travelling around the area, and beyond.
This is a busy home so the successful applicant will be able to work in fast-paced environments, have good timekeeping skills and work to deadlines. We also support individuals who have limited communication, so good communication skills are essential for this role.
Shifts are Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 10:00-14:00, however there is some flexibility with times.
Requirements of the role:
- Cleaning of the bathrooms and communal areas
- Cleaning of Office areas
- Weekly cleaning of utility areas
- Ad Hoc cleaning tasks to meet the requirements of the service
- To maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning materials
- To identify and report any potential hazards in the environment
- Following infection prevention and control policies
- An understanding of health and safety
Previous experience in a Housekeeper or Domestic role is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
Full training is provided. You will be required to attend the necessary face to face training and e-learning, which is essential to be successful in the roe. You will benefit from regular 1-1 meetings and yearly appraisals with your line manager and there is an active management presence in the home.
