Position Summary:
As a housekeeper at our service user's hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of guests' rooms and common areas. Your primary duties include dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and changing linens. You will also be expected to replenish amenities and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, and vacuuming carpets.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
- Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, stairways, and lobby areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage.
