Housekeeper / Cleaner – The Pickled Parson
The Pickled Parson is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. We’re looking for someone who thrives both independently and within a team environment, maintains a proactive and positive attitude, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience cleaning and maintaining high-traffic hospitality venues, such as busy bars, restaurants, and boutique hotels. This role plays a vital part in upholding the standards and guest experience we are known for.
In addition to daily responsibilities, the successful applicant will embody exceptional standards of cleanliness, demonstrate outstanding communication skills, and bring a genuine sense of joy and pride to our hotel. Your work will directly contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable environment for every guest who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily housekeeping of guest rooms, ensuring all used rooms are cleaned and reset to the highest standard.
- Perform thorough daily cleaning of all public areas, including the bar, restaurant, and hotel common spaces.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring all spaces are spotless and well-presented at all times.
- Organise cleaning supplies and linen stockrooms, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained and items are stored efficiently.
- Monitor inventory and place orders when necessary; accept and organise deliveries of fresh linen and supplies.
- Report any malfunctioning or broken cleaning equipment promptly to the supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Promote and maintain a safe, injury-free workplace.
- Communicate effectively with the team and management to ensure smooth daily operations and a consistent guest experience.
Role Details:
- Hours: 5 days per week, with additional shifts available when covering fellow housekeepers' holidays.
- Contract Type: Zero-hour contract. While flexible, we are consistently busy, so there is no concern over lack of hours.
- Pay: £12.21 – £12.51 per hour, based on experience.
