Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. This position is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, adhering to established standards.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
- Dust, vacuum, and polish furniture and fixtures to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests or inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to the role.
- Experience in cooking is advantageous but not mandatory.
