Housekeeper
Responsible to : Manager & Housekeeping Supervisor
Duties
- DAILY
1.1 Thorough cleaning of all toilet areas, including lavatory and all fixtures and fittings, plus sluice area and fittings.
1.2 Cleaning of baths, including fitments.
1.3 Cleaning of all wash-hand basins and commode chairs.
1.4 Dusting, as required - dry/damp.
1.5 Cleaning of mirrors and glass partitions.
1.6 Damp mopping of all floors required.
1.7 Wet mopping of all floors required.
1.8 Vacuuming - dry/wet - of all floors required.
1.9 Topping up of paper towels, soap, soap dispensers, toilet rolls, air fresheners etc.
1.10 Cleaning and tidying of Domestic Service Room cupboard,
1.11 Tidying of all residents’ rooms and public rooms.
1.12 Cleaning of staff rooms.
1.13 Removal /replacement of all rubbish bins - internally and externally - including cleaning up of any spillages.
1.14 Care of cleansing equipment used.
- WEEKLY
2.1 High dusting of ledges, tops of wardrobes, etc.
2.2 Cleaning of chairs - upholstery, vinyl.
2.3 Washing down of paintwork - doors, ledges, window sills, etc.
2.4 Removal and cleaning of towel dispensers.
2.5 Cleaning of disposal bins.
2.6 Alert Management in good time of all supplies required.
- AS REQUIRED
3.1 Replace hand towels, as required, in toilet areas - start and end of shift.
3.2 Remove and replenish disposal bags as required - start and end of shift
3.3 Thorough cleaning of dining room tables and chairs.
3.4 Report malfunctioning of equipment to R.G.N. / Management.
3.5 Understand and comply with COSHH and Health & Safety Regulations.
3.6 Be aware of properties and applications of all chemicals and use in appropriate manner.
3.7 Be conversant with routine maintenance procedures of all electrical cleaning equipment.

Experience:
- Care Facility & Hospital Cleaners: 1 year (preferred)
