Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Hotel Generalist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable experience during their stay. The Hotel Generalist will be responsible for various tasks across different departments, providing support wherever needed, and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel. Ideal candidates will possess strong guest service skills and have a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding guest services, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist with front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs, while maintaining accurate records.
- Support housekeeping by ensuring rooms are prepared to the highest standards for incoming guests.
- Handle phone etiquette with grace, managing reservations and guest requests efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in public areas, contributing to a welcoming environment for guests.
- Assist in managing inventory and supplies for various hotel departments as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for visitors.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
