Due to an increase in our client base Harris Stocktaking Systems Ltd is seeking either an experienced Stocktaker or a hospitality professional who has worked at management / supervisory level in a Hotel, Bar/Pub or Restaurant and has experience in Wet and Dry Stocktakes within their premises.
This is much more than a normal stocktaking role. You will develop long-term business relationships with your allocated clients. As well as carrying out your stocktaking responsibilites you will provide professional advice and support relating to running a hospitality business to the customer when required.
Familiarity with alcohol products, cocktails, bar measurements etc is essential.
As the Stocktaker you will also be required to analyse the stock results, running stocktake reports on their EPoS systems (additional training provided) and work with the individual businesses to help improve the utilisation of their stock, which in turn will improve their profitability.
Same day reports are given to the client so accuracy and efficiency is required.
You will be encouraged to seek new clients for the business for which you will receive a Finder’s Fee.
Training will be provided on the use of our internal Stocktaking system.
This post is mainly Monday - Friday with early starts and no night shifts. Some weekend work is required.
Person Specification
- We are seeking to recruit a motivated, positive person who can work swiftly and accurately and has a desire to provide excellent customer service.
- Hospitality experience (in an environment were alcohol is sold) is essential.
- The role involves counting stock with related clerical work to provide data to our customers. Due to the needs of our business, we are seeking a candidate who can commit to flexible work patterns and is available to work some weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however full training will be given.
- Equivalent of 3 A-Levels.
- IT skills necessary as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office. Laptop and tablet will be provided.
- Access to personal transport and a full, clean driving licence are essential as we require employees to drive themselves to the customer location. A Mileage Allowance is provided.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift/move stock as required.
- You will work both independently and as part of a team, adopting a responsible and methodical approach to your work at all times.
- A flexible approach to the work environment including the ability to engage with colleagues is required.
