Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in home care or care homes. This role is crucial in ensuring that clients receive the highest level of care and assistance tailored to their individual needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, ensuring all needs are met effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition, reporting these to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Communicate clearly with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or within a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with team members.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients and families.
- A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as part of the role.
