Job Summary
We’re looking for kind, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our growing team of Home Care Professionals. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide essential support in a home care environment. Our ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as outlined in care plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Previous experience in home care or a similar environment beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
