Job Summary Advanced Lifting are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of vehicles ranging from cars, vans, Mobile Cranes, Truck Mounted Cranes, Forklift and a Lorry Loader Crane.
Duties
- Ordering parts as required for repairs.
- Perform equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and machinery for various tasks including soldering and heavy lifting.
- Performing routine maintenance on company equipment and completing six-weekly.
- Respond to roadside breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to the required standards.
- Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults.
- Ensure that all required repairs are carried out in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fitter, Mobile Crane experience would be preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid forklift licence is preferred but not essential; training may be provided.
- Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy machinery.
- HGV Driver’s License is Preferable
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools is advantageous.
