What your day-to-day would look like:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles and trailers, including engines, electrical systems, brakes and suspension systems components.
- Mechanical servicing (technical and diagnostics) both in workshop and on site
- Building relationships within team and with customer base
- Working under time pressure
- Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining HGV vehicles and trailers to the highest industry standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
What you will possess:
- Experience in inspection and repair of HGV fleet vehicles and trailers
- Practical knowledge and experience of modern, market-leading machinery (including diagnostics)
- Flexibility to work with seasonal variations
- Assemble, disassemble and replace parts as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues on the component level and solve issues effectively.
- Ability to perform welding tasks to repair or reinforce trailer structures.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various issues related to HGV vehicles and trailers.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical repairs.
- Experience in welding techniques for metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and engine schematics for effective problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
