Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV grab driver to join our hardworking team for work within the utility Power sector for our highly respectable clients.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for backfilling & removing spoil from excavations safely and efficiently at various locations within the public highway & private sites.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety & PPE standards, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage multiple sites & teams effectively.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Work on Multiple sites around the Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Swansea Areas for our clients.
- Carry out backfilling and muck away operations
- Ensure the safety of members of the public and operational staff whilst the HGV is operating
- To assist with the backfill of pipe excavations and trenches in the highway and Private Property’s.
- To remove Excavated Spoil from Site and Tip and Reload in Aggregate Quarry’s within our area.
- Work to our Specific Method and Risk Assessments.
Job Type / Category:
- Working hours between 07:30 and 16:30
- Rate of pay dependent upon experience and qualifications
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have Class 2 HGV and be able to Work off a Logbook.
- Must have HIAB Ticket (Clamshell)
- Must hold a valid CPC
- Qualified in NRSWA (Operative Streetworks)
- Previous HGV / HIAB experience (At least 1 year) & working on the public highway & understand the Streetworks code of Practice (Red Book)
