Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves repairs, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and other tasks to meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
- Carrying out general servicing and maintenance.
- Assisting in the fault diagnosis process.
- Complying with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
- Road testing vehicles when required (if holder of HGV licence).
- Ensuring that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.
- Completing relevant paperwork and documentation.
Requirements
- HGV Licence (preferred)
- Experience and qualifies HGV Fitter
- City and Guilds NVQ3 or equivalent
