Chiltern Distribution LTD is actively seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Shunters to join our team at our Whittlesey depot.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform Shunting duties in the yard as and when required
- Perform Shunting duties between out customers in the local area
- Ensure the accurate, safe, and timely delivery of temperature-controlled goods between sites
- Conduct daily vehicle checks as per Company procedures before departing the depot to ensure the vehicle's roadworthiness and the security of the load.
**Requirements:**
- A valid HGV licence, ideally with no penalty points.
- At least 2 years of current HGV driving experience, preferably with multi-drop experience.
- Possession of a CPC and digi-tacho.
- Physical fitness for manual handling of heavy goods.
- Willingness to do nights out when required.
**Shift Pattern:**
- Week 1: 5 days
- Week 2: 6 days (6th day paid at an overtime rate of £20/hr)
- 2 Weeks of AM Shift (06:00-16:00) Followed by 2 weeks of 11:00-22:00
