We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for those in their care. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities as needed.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition is provided.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with care plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living space for clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is required
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining client records is advantageous.
- Ability to implement personalised care plans based on individual client needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as required.
- A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
