Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained. You will work closely with patients to assist them with daily activities, monitor their wellbeing, and contribute to their overall comfort and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist in the preparation of meals and help with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Support healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a healthcare setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare support are advantageous.

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Experience:
- Carer: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Safeguarding Certification (required)
- Oliver McGowan Training Certificate (required)
- Right to Work (required)
- Enhanced DBS on Online Update Service (required)
- Practical Moving & Handling Training Certificate (required)
