We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
- Support residents in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong driving skills may be beneficial for roles involving transportation of residents.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
- Excellent IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents from diverse backgrounds.
