Health Care Assistant
Donnington House Care Home is a registered charity that has been providing care for older people in Chichester, West Sussex since 1952. The Home is registered to give care, both Residential and Nursing, to 28 residents.
Currently, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Health Care Assistant to join our team.
Requirements of the Health Care Assistant Role:
Friendly, conscientious, reliable, someone who generally wants to support elderly people and give them the best possible care
Experience is care is an advantage although not necessary as full training will be given
Completion of the Care Certificate Qualification if not already completed, this can be completed as part of your induction
Have a clear DBS
Donnington House provides accommodation, supervision from staff 24 hours a day, meals and help with personal care needs. We always have registered nurses on duty. This means we can provide care for people with more complex needs and those who need regular nursing interventions. The provision of nursing care offers the peace of mind that should this be required, there is no need for our residents to move on.
Our priority is delivering a high level of care that truly comes from the heart. It’s about making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home..
St Donnington House we specialise in end of life care and have a good working relationship with the local hospice

NVQ Level 3 £ 12.70
Weekend Rate = Time and a Third per hour
Bank Holiday Rate = Double Time
Schedule:
Day shift: 07.00-13.30 / 13.00-20.00 / 07.00-20.00
We are looking for flexible staff to work 3 day shifts across the week.
Contracted for 19.5hrs with the option to work overtime additionally.

Pay: Up to £13.56 per hour
Expected hours: 26.0 per week
