About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Care Assistants to join a network of leading care providers in Chesterfield and surrounding area's on a temporary basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support mobility, transfers using appropriate equipment such as hoists or walking aids.
- Assist with feeding and ensuring residents receive the appropriate nutrition and hydration
- Record vital signs and update care records.
- Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well-being.
- Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with residents and families.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Follow care plans and report any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
- Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Shift Patterns: Mornings, Afternoons, Long Days, and Nights
Pay Rate: £13.68 to £15 per hour (including holiday pay) dependent on client, location & shift type.
Employment Type: Ongoing Temporary Role
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a care setting
- Trained to use hoists and other moving & handling equipment
- A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
- Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of residents
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents and their families
- Medication training is beneficial but not essential
- A valid UK driving license is required as you will be expected to travel between different care clients
