Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position, as it may involve travelling to clients' homes.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately is important.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for flexibility in providing home care services.
